A chat with prolific Australian artist Marty Baptist at in his St Leonard’s studio space.
Marty Baptist doesn't just take things at face value. He's all about observing the daily grind and creating a whole lot
of loud artwork that adds some commentary to it with his dark sense of humour. His art (and studio) is a colourful
spectrum of shades, peppered with hilarious pop culture references. His work has been exhibited across Australia,
New Zealand and Japan and he's been featured in the likes of Monster Children, Oyster and Frankie. Marty's next
solo exhibition, Other Voices, will be held at China Heights in March 2015. Art aside, he's also just an all round top
guy with a cool little colour-filled studio space. Thanks for letting us visit Marty!
